Jim Cross is an abstract artist with a studio in Deptford, south-east London. He is also a museum professional, working as an art-handler for Tate Gallery. He works mainly in oils, on canvas or paper, or graphite on paper. He studied Fine Art Painting at City and Guilds of London School of Art where he graduated with first class honours and was awarded the Chadwick-Healey Prize for painting and the Board of Directors’ Prize for outstanding work. He regularly exhibits and his work is held in the collections of the City and Guilds Institute and the Royal Academy of Engineering as well as private collections in the UK, Europe and USA.
